Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival - Southern Kruger

Welcome to the Southern Kruger National Park! From Kruger National Airport we make our way to the Lukimbi safari Lodge on a 15000 Hectare private concession. We make this luxury safari lodge experience our home for three nights which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Morning and late afternoon game drives where we can possibly see the big five and the animal diversity of Kruger National park in a private reserve type setting should make for an unforgettable experience!

Day 2 - Leopard Creek Country Club

No Discussion ranking the best courses in South Africa is complete without playing Leopard Creek golf course. Set on a luxury private estate that overlooks the crocodile river, this sites proximity to Kruger National Park often results in sightings of Crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and elephants. The golf isn’t bad either! Leopard Creek vies with the Fancourt Links for best course in South Africa rankings. Our friends not golfing will be able to compare animal sightings from their day at the lodge.

Day 3 - Kruger National Park

Today we will set out for an opportunity to see the incredible animal and plant diversity, guided by Lukimbi’s expert trackers. Every passenger has a shaded open view and the drives have unique access for the Kruger area to traverse off-road trails under strictly controlled conditions. Guided river and bush walks can be arranged for those guests wanting to get their feet on the ground. We’ll surely have lots to discuss over anther delicious dinner at Lukimbi!

Day 4 - Cape Town

It’s a travel day as we bid adieu to our friends at Kruger & Lukimbi as we board our flight to Cape Town. Once in Cape Town we say hello to the iconic waterfront Victoria and Alfred hotel! The very heart of the Breakwater Basin this 94 room sophisticated retreat will make our guests feel instantly at home. Explore the excitement and buzz of the waterfront or relax at the hotel this day ends with plenty of free time.

Day 5 - Steenberg Golf Club &Vineyards

Now that the golf muscles are rested up after our travel day we visit another highly rated golf course, the Steenburg Golf Club and Vineyards. Just minutes away form Cape Town Centre, this is a premium golf experience known for pristine conditioning. Combining elements of links and parkland golf in a hybrid design with indigenous shrubs and environmental diversity this course is a tough but fair test from any set of tees. This day has something for everyone as we take in the full Steenburg experience, including the vineyards, winery tastings and the award winning resturants.

Day 6 - Cape Peninsula

Today we give the clubs a rest and take in the breathtaking scenery of the Cape Peninsula where white sand beaches meet craggy mountains and quaint costal towns. Among the many beautiful beaches is Boulders Beach in False Bay, the only place in the world to see African Penguins in all their waddling glory! Later, we take in a true Cape town highlight, a trip up Table Mountain on the cableway for 360 degree views of the city from a 1000 meters up! A meal at the Two Oceans restaurant, renown for their seafood and wine pairings is the perfect compliment for this day of spectacular scenery!

Day 7 - Pearl Valley Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Estate

Say hello to Jack, as in Jack Nicklaus and the Pearl valley Signature golf Estate. Set amid a mountainous backdrop, this course is fair off the tee in true Nicklaus fashion, but promises scoring shot challenges with strategically placed bunkers and fast greens. All the par threes and fives play in different directions, so take note of the wind in selecting that club! Considered the very best of the six course designed by Nicklaus in Africa, Pearl Valley is known for it’s top notch conditioning year around. Our friends not golfing can enjoy the comfort of the V&A hotel and can continue exploring Cape town at their leisure.

Day 8 - Cape Winelands

Resting at the foot of the Boland Mountains is the breathtaking beauty of the Cape Winelands, renowned for producing some of the world’s finest wines! Today we visit wineries in the lush and fertile countryside and explore historic little hamlets and towns. While wine is undoubtedly the highlight, some of the countries very best restaurants are in this picturesque area offering delicious food and wine pairings.

Day 9 - Fancourt

Depart from Cape Town on the scenice drive along the Garden Route to George. Sandwiched between the majestic Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean and set along South Africa’s world-famous Garden Route, the historic city of George is the sixth oldest town in the country. Once a woodcutter’s outpost, today it is the commercial hub of the Garden Route. This idyllically set city boasts a rich history and is surrounded by lush scenery including endless beaches, soaring mountains, and glittering lakes, and is a haven for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Visitors can play a round of golf on a variety of championship courses, discover local history at the George Museum and visit the Garden Route Botanical Garden features trails and local fynbos plants.
Check into our beatiful golf resort hotel. After you have settled in meet the rest of our group this evening with a quick welcome meeting before dinner.

Day 10 - Fancourt Montagu Course

Hit the ground running or golfing after a hearty breakfast at the Fancourt lodge. For the golfers, head to the tee at the Fancourt Montagu course where you’ll be a member for the day. Ranked as high as number eight in South Africa this Gary Player design is a parkland masterpiece featuring rolling hill and indigenous terrain. For the non-golfers, relax by the Fancourt pool or spa, walk, jog or bike the nature trails or browse the nearby George museum. Later in the day we’ll recount glory on the course and activities around the resort over a cold beverage at the lodge!

Day 11 - Pinnacle Point Golf Course

After a day of Parkland golf we switch things up and take a short scenic drive to the Pinnacle Point Estates. Once again we tee up another highly ranked award winning golf experience! Think of the South African version of Cabot cliffs or Pebble Beach as we head to the dramatic layout with breath taking views as 7 holes hug tight to the cliffs of the Indian Ocean! Get ready for some pulse pounding shots as 4 holes feature carries over the ocean. Our guests not golfing can take part in the Pinnacle Point experience and visit their two spectacular beaches, Eden and Oyster Bay and a network of nature trails with ocean views. There’s a guided tour to a world heritage site caves at the base of the cliffs and ocean to discover the history of modern man. Of course, the Fancourt is always a wonderful option for those that want rest and relaxation.

Day 12 - The Links at Fancourt

Is your golf game warmed up? Today we take on the Links, the number one course in South Africa (56 in the world)! Inspired by the famous links courses of the British Isles, the Fancourt Links is widely considered to be a masterpiece! Featuring undulating windswept terrain and dune style landscape, the Links has hosted a presidents cup, the SA open and the 2012 Volvo Golf Champions on the European tour. Our friends not teeing it up can continue the easygoing Fancourt resort life or arrange to take a Garden route wine tour.

Day 13 - Depart

It is time to say good-bye to this amazing destination and wonderful new friends. Depart to the airport as needed for your flight home.
